Ayurveda course gets recognition at BHU

VARANASI: Students of Ayurveda, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) who were admitted in the session 2011-2012 can now heave a sigh of relief as department of Ayush has given the recognition to the Ayurveda courses for the session 2011-2012 which was lying pending for several years. The university has received a confirmation letter on Wednesday.
It may be noted that around 50 students were admitted in BAMS course and 25 students were admitted in various post graduate courses of the faculty of Ayurveda, BHU in session without the recognition received by Ayush department and Central Council of Indian Medicine. This recognition is given every year to the university. The students staged protest and demanded the university administration to seek recognition for that particular academic session as their future was on stake
