The Chhattisgarh Government Ayurveda College Hospital here conducted a session of ‘Swarna Prashan’ by holding camps at Kaumarbhritya Paediatrics in the college premises. Camps were organized in three schools on Friday.
The hospital conducts ‘Swarna Prashan’ to children 0-16 years on every ‘Pushya Nakshatra’. It is said to help in physical and mental development, increases immunity, concentration and memory power, an official communication said on Friday.
Paediatrician Dr. Lavkesh Chandravanshi said the aim is not only to treat diseases of children but also to increase the quality of their health and prevent them from getting sick.
In the session held on Friday, 1,137 children were administered the ‘Swarna Prashan’.
Swarna Prashan is a medicine given to the children on the Pushya Nakshatra date every month, he added.
