Courses Under Guru Shishya Parampara

Guru Shishya Parampara ( Teacher disciple tradition)  is the traditional residential method of education where the Shishya stays  with his Guru as a family member and gets the education through various ways and means from his guru.. This system of education vanished with the disappearance of Gurukuls and with the advent of more advanced institutional system of education. This is however observed that for subjects requiring a special skill, a thorough training under the direct guidance and supervision of an expert is mandatory.  It is for this reason , RAV has made efforts to revive this  system and launched two types of courses namely MRAV and CRAV.

In colleges and institutions of Ayurveda , only a relevant portion of the Samhita (texts of Ayurveda) is being taught in the form of syllabus. Guru Shishya Parampara of RAV facilitates the students to study the whole text to  get adequate knowledge of Samhita and its Teeka (commentary). On the other hand it also gives an opportunity to learn and master the traditional skills of Ayurvedic clinical practice. During the training period ,  shishyas get sufficient time for practical learning, interaction and discussion with their teachers on various  issues selected  for study.
